Quite ironic that an event envisioned to promote Philippine contemporary art has kept me from properly contemplating Manila’s visual art scene as it deserves. Instead, I’ve found myself dashing in and out of galleries whenever I have half an hour to spare, or catching the odd opening reception whenever I remember to do so (the days just seem to meld into each other!). Alas, no time to absorb the works on view. But I did manage to capture some images, which I share here— for posterity’s sake!
